Erigeron sanctarum: According to David Hollombe, sanctarum commemorates the saints Santa Barbara, Santa Ynez and Santa Rosa. The taxon was described from specimens collected in the Santa Ynez mountains near Santa Barbara and on Santa Rosa Island.
