[Wikipedia] Taxonomy, Naming: Eucalyptus leucoxylon was first formally described in 1855 by Ferdinand von Mueller in the Transactions and Proceedings of the Victorian Institute for the Advancement of Science[7].[8] The specific epithet (leucoxylon) is derived from the ancient Greek leuco- meaning "white"[9]: 441 and -xylon meaning "wood".[9]: (link added by Mary Ann Machi)
