[plants.usda.gov] Restoration Uses: Restoration: Basalt milkvetch is one of the few native legumes that is adapted for use in restoration in the semi-arid west. As a legume, it has the ability to add nitrogen to rangeland plantings, and it is known to resprout readily after fire making it a valuable species for the fire-prone west.
