ABOUT
The mission of the Forrest Deaner Native Plant Botanic Garden is to demonstrate the diverse plant life of California natives and to provide opportunities for education, recreation, conservation and research. Through its programs and facilities, the Garden will foster an understanding and appreciation of California?s native flora. The 3.5 acre Garden was established in 2001 and is located within the Benicia State Recreation Area, adjacent to the main picnic area, and just before Dillon Point. Most of the garden is dedicated to five native plant communities found in Solano County. There are also demonstration gardens featuring native plants from across the state.
