Frog Mountain

ABOUT 
Created from the Soda Creek Glacier during the Ice Age, this area features thick forest, creeks and small lakes. The showy wildflowers make their presence from mid May until August. Frog Mountain is the southernmost peak in the Cascade Range, and is the highest peak in Butte County.

TIPS FOR YOUR VISIT 
  • This location features several back country camp sites nestled in the forest near Saucer, and Frog Lake. Ideal location during peak fall color September and October.
  • HISTORY:   In 2021, this area succumbed to the Dixie Fire and is forever changed, it's lost it's beauty.
